Fall may be busy with the start of school, the beginning of the holiday season and changes to the weather. However, don’t forget to take advantage of this wonderful season with some family fun! Go on a Fall Colours Road Trip. Canada is perhaps the world’s best nation for fall colours, so take advantage of it! There are many places to enjoy the fall colours from Alberta to Prince Edward Island. Why not make it a road trip? The Fundy Coastal Drive is an excellent destination, as is a trip from Niagara Falls to Toronto.
Pick Apples. Fall is apple season! Go to an orchard to pick your own apples. If you can, choose an orchard that allows you to make your own cider as well! You’ll have a sweet reminder of your fun trip all season.
Play with Pumpkins. Carving pumpkins is a classic fall tradition, but you can do so many other things with this versatile gourd! Have fun with pumpkin recipes and crafts, try a new pumpkin soup recipe or make a decoupage leaf collage on a pumpkin for a personal table decoration!

Donate Food to Your Local Food Bank. Turn your next grocery shopping trip into a lesson about community service. Let everyone select a few cans of food to donate, then drive them over to your local food bank! If you have time, consider volunteering for a few hours as well.
