Come to the World Pond Hockey Championships in beautiful Atlantic Canada to watch as 120 teams from around the world battle for the first place prize!
The World Pond Hockey Championships have come a long way from when it was first held in 2002 in the town of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick. The festival began and continues to be, a fundraising event for a new recreational arena facility for the people of the Tobique River Valley. What began as an initiative with only 40 teams mainly from New Brunswick has grown into an international affair, with 120 teams representing each province of Canada, 35 of the United States as well as 15 countries from around the world.
If you plan on visiting Plaster Rock for The World Pond Hockey Championship make sure to stop by the nearby town of Grand Falls. The town is named after its spectacular falls, which you can explore by various methods, including pontoon boat rides or walking along the many trails that surround the falls.
